When you view this page while logged out, there are a bunch of random images of faces. --SneaselKat 21:49, 30 December 2012 (CST)

I have video footage from fraps of each taunt for every class, on a consistant background from roughly the same viewpoint. If anyone likes, I can upload that somewhere, or perhaps convert them to .gifs.--Pyrosity 22:57, 20 October 2007 (CDT)

Exact Time

I believe that taunts take 4 seconds each, but I'm not sure if that's an exact amount or an approximate. Does anyone know exactly, for sure? G-Mang 03:25, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

I can't say I've timed them all, but certainly some of them, like the Bonk (Sandman) and the Fencing take longer than that.SixTwoSixFour 19:55, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Kill Taunt Testing

So, we know that the kill taunts do a lot of damage. Thanks to the arrow's stun effect, we know it does 500. So couldn't we, in theory, use the Sandman's stun on an overhealed Heavy right before each of the taunt kills to get a good idea of exactly how much damage they do? It seems entirely possible that they all do 500, and then we'd have an exact value. I'd test this myself if my gaming computer wasn't in the shop. SixTwoSixFour 19:57, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Demoman's kill taunt

He has a kill taunt after he does his little scotish tap dance, he swings his sword. The Unbeholden 14:21, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Unused/Cut Taunts.

Just checked model viewer, and i've notcied some hidden taunts.

  • Taunt_hifivesuccess For soldier and demoman, supposedly for war update, they high 5.
  • Taunt_04 (For demoman) Not sure exactly what is it yet, it looks like he offers to show a weapon, then uppercuts with it. Ollyeng 13:12, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
We've seen them. They've been there for months. Pretty sure they're added to the taunt pages. -- Smashman... (tsb) 13:15, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
I checked, I can't find anything about them (except the picture for the stove pipe uses taunt_04), should we add them on this page? Ollyeng 12:28, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Check this page for the unused Demoman bottle taunt. The high-five taunts aren't uploaded to the wiki, though. If you want, you could add them, and perhaps start a section in Unused content dedicated to cut taunts. Or maybe I will. -- En Ex 23:18, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Overhaul of the Class-specific taunt pages

Just a heads up, I'll be redoing the layout of each of the pages such as Scout taunts, including all the images. The overhaul will happen in a few hours as I get the images and layout template done. By template, I just meant that I'll have something ready in a document, instead of doing something completely unorganized. --Vi3trice 22:41, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Er, never mind that, a few hours is an understatement. I just noticed that TGA files don't have transparency. That's 2 hours of work down the hole, I just hate myself. --Vi3trice 22:47, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this, they might still have the transparency stored as an alpha channel? Do you think you could give us a quick preview of your template idea before you do the entire overhaul, I don't want all of your work to be for naught. -- Smashman... (tsb) 22:58, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Nope, not even saved in an alpha channel. I would of been happy if it was that way. That'll teach me for not being careful and watching Doctor Who when I'm not supposed to. As for the layout, it's just tidying the pages with tables and headers. I can't just upload the new images as it will completely screw up the current layout. --Vi3trice 23:04, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Hell yeah, Doctor Who! I feel for you... Do you think you could apply the changes to a page such as Scout taunts then I can see if it's any good, I'm sure it is, just would like to make sure. -- Smashman... (tsb) 23:13, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Done, but I'm getting something weird on the last table. Also, I wasn't sure what to put in the class headers. --Vi3trice 23:48, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Oh, right. "That." --Vi3trice 00:09, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
