When a Scout is capping the on screen cap indicators say x2 even when there is just one person capping
Was this always the way, or just a bug that's come out? --DNA.styx 07:41, 7 October 2007 (CST)
- As far as I am aware, a Scout has always counted as two people for the purposes of capturing a control point. -Puddington 10:26, 7 October 2007 (CST)
- Yes, they've always shown as if there were 2 people for every one scout. --WanderingFox 11:42, 14 November 2007 (CST)
Scout vs sentry
Refering to this addition I made: " It is possible, however, to circle around a sentry so that it cannot turn quickly enough to fire at you. This is very difficult and requires that you be as close to the sentry as possible." I have been able to circle around a sentry and almost destroy it with the scattergun while it could not fire at me. Note that the sentry was level 1 and there may have been 1 or two other targets. As far as I know it was trying to fire at me alone, though. I haven't tested this further yet. Pyrosity 20:49, 20 October 2007 (CDT)
- I have done further testing, it seems that a scout is indeed able to circle around any level of sentry and get behind it, even when the scout is the only target. --Pyrosity 15:41, 28 October 2007 (CDT)
Rookie & Slugger
Are these nicknames mentioned in game or in an official Valve interview? If not, we should delete them. If we do, do you guys know of any other official nicknames for the Scout?--CountDOODOO 13:44, 26 February 2008 (CST)
Country of Origin
Official Valve sources tell us he's from Boston, but people feel he's actually from Brooklyn because of his accent. Personally I think he could've just addopted the accent just to sound tougher/cooler. So what is the verdict here? Official or fan source? I'd say Official obviously. Valve created the character, they are free to write he's from wherever they want, not what fans think. But since the fan sources are many aggainst the official, I'd suggest just saying he's from Northeastern USA... Pedroshin 20:10, 20 April 2008 (CDT)
- I'd say we should say where valve thinks he's from and then a note saying that he has a Brooklyn accent which leads people to believe he's from Brooklyn. But we are documenting Valve's game so we godda say what they say about him. --Humbug 20:40, 20 April 2008 (CDT)
- The Valve bio says he's from South Boston. There's not much room for speculation. =P--Wilsonator 06:07, 21 April 2008 (CDT)
