Turn it into a Table

Can someone turn this into a table? Left side will contain 360 version, Middle will be PC, and right side will contain things about the PS3 version. I think it'd be much easier to read than the list we currently we have now. What do you think?--CountDOODOO 10:08, 10 January 2008 (CST)

I think it's about time you popped your cherry with tables :P There are links and guides on the Help page but for ease of reference: have a look at Wikipedia's help on tables and our own Help:TF2 Wiki tablestyles. --Aurora 12:34, 10 January 2008 (CST)
I tried out a table but I don't think it'll work. I'll just make more sections instead.--CountDOODOO 18:13, 11 January 2008 (CST)
I've done tables for HTML and they suck. If you've done them for quite some time, they're easy. Otherwise it takes some getting used to becuase you're basically creating a table from text so it takes some brain power to imagine what it will look like afterwards... --Jewbat
I think a table should be fine as long as it's set up right. if nobody could edit the page for about 30 minutes, that would be great Sarda 23:55, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

I turned it into a table that i believe works very nicely, I know it's probably not perfect and some of the descriptions could probably be expanded on, but I got the basic idea out. However, if you look at the code and have no idea what I did, then I would advise you not to edit it, as the code for a table can be a little touchy. Sarda 00:40, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Set round limits

I thought it ranged anywhere from 2 to 5? I've seen ones that are 3, and 5 as well. I don't think it goes up to 6 though... Am I wrong on this? --Jewbat 20:14, 3 February 2008 (CST)

Round limits are 1-5 in the console version. ---Wandrian Wvlf

PS3 Version

With the recent Patch for the PS3 version, most (if not all) problems were eliminated (long load times, random connection issues, and a few exploits). Basically the PS3 and 360 versions are exactly the same, although the only real difference is the fact that the PS3 uses the PlayStation Network while the 360 uses Xbox Live, which in itself isn't that big of a difference. What I'm getting at is that this article should list the PS3 version as well. All around this wiki, it's like the PS3 version never happened.

Don't forget to sign your posts. But Yeah, I agree we should include the PS3 version into this. First though, you'll need to look at the list and make sure that each of those things that happen in the Xbox 360 and PC version do happen in the PS3 version as well. If there's any differences between what it says in the article, please put them in this discussion pages. Once we get one or two differences I (or one of the other TF2 Wiki admins) will move the page so it includes all three versions.--TFT Magic Kukri 19:27, 30 March 2008 (CDT)

PS3 and 360

I think the title should be changed to show both the 360 and ps3, in my edit I said home conole for lack of a better word. If someone could fix any mistakes I have or clean up the whole diffrences page. It would be helpful.--Darke 21:31, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Console patch issues

"The PC version is patched more frequently, due to higher interest and the difficulty Valve has had when patching the home versions, especially the Xbox 360, and Electronic Arts's reportedly poor support of the PS3 version."

I remember reading an interview with a Valve employee where they basically said "F Xbox patches because Microsoft keeps rejecting our perfectly good code," but I can't find it. I think my Google Fu is just off at the moment. This should probably be sourced, though.--Southpaw018 17:45, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

As of 8/22, The Medic/Pyro/Heavy and Maps will be coming to 360 according to http://kotaku.com/5040417/team-fortress-2-updates-coming-to-xbox-360-later-this-year --Builder's League United Engineer 21:02, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Voice Chat

"The home console versions can separate voice from game music and sound effects, with voice going through the headset and music and sound going through the television or home audio. This separation cannot be done in the PC version." I'm not sure if this is true. I set in my Sound and Devices for Sound to be through my soundcard, voice through mic, and hearing voice through the headset too and it worked. ZuljinRaynor 22:02, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

I think what it means is that the home console versions have in-game options to do that, what you did what change your computer's settings Sarda 00:41, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

You can actually just open up the sound settings in tf2 and set the output to speakers, and input to headset.

Seriously, fanboys.

Stop making fucking rumors about all the magical things the PS3/Xbox/PC 360 versions of the game have over the other versions. There has been NO verification by Valve on many things on this list (the 360's server capacity soon to be upped to 24), and on the PC side, people are just ganging up things on the list to demean the other versions.

Garry's Mod is a THIRD PARTY MOD. The ability to play TF2 in Garry's Mod should not be listed here. Customizability, on the other hand, should.

Seriously guys, get your act together.

Consistencey and rumours

For consistency, I think that the line on voice/sound should be changed to

Can be separated (voice through headset) || Same as PC || Same as PC

That should make it look about 60% neater.

Also, the max size for xBox 360 is a rumour, no official word from valve yet, and so has no place in what should in essence be an encyclopedia.

Updated?

Well, apparently TF2 has been updated for the 360. I've yet to discover what the differences are, though.ThePortalMan 18:14, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

It added the server options to Enable/Disable Critical Hits, Enable/Disable Damage Spread, and allow Class Limitations (anywhere between 0 and 5 maximum) and 'small bug fixes'. Look when I wrote that ;) ThePortalMan 02:49, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Fail Patch Is Fail

The patch to eliminate hacked servers on the 360 has failed. I've seen three allcrit lowgrav servers already. ThePortalMan 03:51, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
