The Stahlhelm is a promotional headwear item for the Soldier. It is a rimmed steel German army helmet, adorned with a team-colored Team Fortress emblem on the side in a shield decal, instead of the red, white, and black national colors.

This item is awarded for purchasing the Steam Digital Deluxe Edition of Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad and was awarded in Genuine quality before September 13th, 2011.

• Added the "Red Orchestra 2" promo items.

September 20, 2011 Patch

• Updated the Stahlhelm so it can be crafted, traded, and gift-wrapped

Bugs

• The backpack image displays the BLU team helmet color with the RED team emblem.
• The hat has slight clipping issues when taunting with most weapons, or when worn with the Summer Shades and Professor Speks.
• When moved around in Backpack it makes fabric sounds.

Unused content

• This item has a paint texture that remains unused.

Trivia

• Stahlhelm is German for 'Steel Helmet'.
• The Steam page for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad shows the Stahlhelm having the historical black, white, and red Heer and German national colors logo of the German Army during the Second World War. However, this was replaced by the Team Fortress 2 logo in game, although the shield stayed on the helmet.
