The Nanobalaclava is a promotional headwear item for the Spy. It is a black and grey futuristic helmet with team-colored elements.

It is awarded in Genuine quality to players pre-ordering Deus Ex: Human Revolution before August 23, 2011.

• The Nanobalaclava was added to the game.

Bugs

• The LOD shows a second smaller hat underneath the first.
• This hat clips with the Camera Beard and Le Party Phantom.
• The model currently used was intended for the Heavy.

Unused content

• There is a separate model file for each class, implying this hat was originally intended to be for all classes.
• The Nanobalaclava has coding in the VMT file that allows it to be paintable, but remains unused.

The Manno-Technology Bundle is a bundle of items released on August 18, 2011. The bundle contains eight items inspired by role-playing video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Purchasing the game through Steam before August 23, 2011 awarded the player all the items in Genuine quality. They were also made available through drop, craft, and Mann Co. Store purchase.
