The Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask is an unlockable headwear item available to all classes. It appears as a moldering, eldritch veil of such manifold depravity, the human eye will not process the sheer enormity of its malevolence, and out of self-preservation will merely show you a brown paper bag with a team-colored face painted on it. It can be unlocked during the annual Haunted Halloween Special Event by any player who completes the Candy Coroner Scarechievement, which involves collecting 20 player-dropped Halloween pumpkins on koth_harvest_event or in cp_manor_event. The hat itself can only be worn during the yearly Haunted Halloween Special Event (October 29 to November 9). Otherwise, wearing the mask will result in the default character appearance (an "Empty" head slot).
Trivia
- The mask is not Tradeable like the Ghastly Gibus.
- The mask appears in the loadout as a 'Level 10 Holiday Hat'.
- The mask is the first hat released with an event only restriction.
- The mask is the first hat that hasn't changed since the second holiday update.
- Like all special reward hats, the Halloween mask cannot be used to craft a hat.
- This mask can only be worn during each year's Halloween event.(October 29 to November 9)
- Each class has its own self-referential mask design:
- If playing on an active Mann Manor server outside the Halloween Event, this hat will not be rewarded to the player until they find another item or complete a trade.
